Hello and thank you for visiting my portfolio site! Please contact me if you have any questions, ideas, or comments regarding my work.
My name is Isaac K. Messinger, and I have always been inclined to create and enjoy imaginary worlds. As a child, whether it was a diarama I constructed on my bedroom floor, a book I wrote about a man with the powers of a shark, or a custom campaign I designed on StarCraft's editing software, these worlds and stories always felt real to me.

When I graduated high school in 2018, I didn't know that the imaginitive practices I loved could be translated into a career. I ended up taking the "standard" educational route and attended Penn State University as a business major. I quickly learned that I did not fit (and wasn't interested in) that standard.
So, I left PSU and, while I tried to figure out my next move, I worked in the hospitality industry a few years. During this time, I gained real-life work and leadership experience and really explored the question, "What do I want to do with this life?"

In 2022, I found the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD). As I learned more about SCAD, I was encouraged by the thought that my love of crafting worlds, narratives, & experiences could be an actual course of study. I also realized I could turn my passion for creation and design into a viable career.
SCAD has helped fuel my desire to not only create and enjoy imaginery worlds myself, but make those worlds real to others as well through game design. I believe that video games are the modern version of storytelling, offering interactive and intimate experiences that can often help people better understand and/or cope in their daily lives. I am looking forward to working in this industry and am excited to share my worlds with you!
